Bioglo is a curious and unique aquarium that allows you to interact with one of nature’s most beautiful phenomena: bioluminescence!
Bioglo contains hundreds of tiny microbes called dinoflagellates that have the natural ability to absorb the sun’s rays during the day and emit a mysterious blue glow when shaken at night! To induce bioluminescence, gently shake the jar to agitate its contents. The dinoflagellates will begin to briefly flash bright blue-green light. Although the glow will eventually fade as the culture is agitated multiple times within the same dark cycle, bioluminescence is easily recharged by allowing the culture to site through a light cycle.
BioGlo has 3 engagement modes:
